A town is made from the people who remember it.

Project Hometown begins in Rosewood during the summer of 1992. It is a close, complicated town where ordinary lives matter: neighbours hold grudges, families carry history, and every new arrival changes somebody else's story. We are building a place for long-form roleplay where characters leave a genuine record behind them.

Built around the roleplay—not a storefront.

Every part of Hometown is being made to support persistent characters, shared history, and scenes that matter to more than one person.

01

Custom roleplay systems

The website, game bridge, and Project Zomboid mod are being designed together from the ground up for this setting—not assembled as a generic collection of unrelated systems.

02

Characters with continuity

Applications become public records. Living, pending, retired, and graveyard characters preserve the history of the town long after an individual scene has ended.

03

No payments. Ever.

Project Hometown will never request payments or donations. There are no paid roles, priority queues, application passes, subscriptions, or gameplay advantages.

04

A collaborative community

Whitelist review, clear rules, and staff oversight protect character-led roleplay. Commendations recognise players who create memorable scenes for others.

Bring somebody worth remembering to Hometown.
